The Shakespeare In The City Walk

The Shakespeare In The City Walk

11am on Friday mornings outside the only exit at Blackfriars underground station (Circle and District lines).

The meeting place for this Tour is right outside that underground station’s only exit, a few feet away on the pavement. Look for the sign with Shakespeare’s head on my rucksack when you emerge from the station onto the pavement. The sign is at knee-level not eye-level.

It is extremely important that you allow sufficient time for your journey to arrive in good time for the walk. Declan can only wait a few minutes for latecomers so as not to inconvenience those who arrived at the correct time.

Dress warmly and bring an umbrella in spring, autumn and definitely winter! Many people who are either not used to London weather, or who are extreme optimists, end up either not bringing an umbrella (and wishing they had) or wearing unsuitable clothing which means they end up feeling cold.

If you would rather have a private walk with Declan, you can always call at the number in the Contact section, and then you can discuss the private tour. He’s sometimes (but not always) willing to do private tours. The price is just £12 per person with a minimum of 15 people per walk.

If it’s a corporate walk there is an extra £35 charge ie £215 minimum.

ALWAYS CHECK THE MESSAGE: NB Updated details of times, engineering works and other underground line problems, are always given in advance in the message at the telephone number in the Contact section.
