4D Cinema screening:

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Airing from May 1st, Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea has amazed and entertained readers for over 140 years. Re-imagining the classic tale for 21st Century, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea takes viewers on the journey of teenager Ned as he plunges into a world of adventure aboard the submarine Nautilus commanded by the mysterious Captain Nemo.

The thrilling 3D adventure ride features cues for popular 4D effects such as water splashes, wind blasts and bubbles. 3D fish swim out of the screen, bubbles fill the auditorium and viewers will feel the deck of the Nautilus jolt and shake when it is attacked by a giant squid.

Penguin Ice Adventure – NOW OPEN

Our brand new under-water Ice Adventure has arrived! Come face-to-face with a colony of Gentoo Penguins and adventure in to the rarely seen Antarctic landscape. You can marvel at the cheeky antics of our new feathered friends, as they dive beneath the freezing waters and play in their icy home.
With indoor temperatures of 8 degrees Celsius you’ll need to wrap up warm, although the playful penguins will feel right at home. Hear the unmistakable trumpeting sound of the Gentoo and learn about their quirky antics.

Touch the iced environment that the penguins call home and give your best imitations of a penguin waddle.
Our penguins, which are classified as near-threatened on the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List, will travel half the way around the world to play and swim in their brand new, specially built home.

Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE Centre

Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE Centre

Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE Centre dares you to enter their exciting new feature, Pirate Cove, and search for your very own pirate treasure. But beware, it’s closely guarded by venomous lionfish, moray eels and jellyfish as well as some fearsome pirates – you could end up walking the plank!

Claws
Giant Japanese Spider Crabs take centre stage this year in our fantastic new Claws exhibition. These extraordinary crabs can grow up to three metres across!

Penguins
We are thrilled this year to have welcomed a colony of Humboldt penguins…all of them bred at our sister SEA LIFE attractions. These endearing and sometimes comical creatures come from the coasts of Chile and Peru where there are estimated to be fewer than 10,000 pairs still surviving. Colonies like ours may one day provide a vital lifeline for this endangered species. Their disappearance would certainly be a tragic loss to the animal kingdom.

Some of the most beautiful and most primitive of the ocean’s inhabitants will take centre stage in Great Yarmouth’s new feature Jellies. With recent invasions of even some tropical jellyfish into British waters, this feature is sure to attract a lot of attention.

Many of the creatures you will see come from the seas around our own coastline. Informative talks and feeding presentations throughout the day provide a deeper insight into all of our fascinating creatures and how you can help to protect their future.

Our younger visitors can explore the soft play area whilst you relax in the comfortable restaurant or browse in the themed gift shop, where there is something for everyone.

Visit the Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE Centre and discover a wonderful underwater world where you will come face to face with an amazing array of creatures, from curious rays to spectacular sharks.

Situated on Marine Parade, the centre offers its visitors a wealth of learning experiences and a great day out with the regular presentations and feeding demonstrations.

Immerse yourself in the incredible Tropical Ocean display, where a host of exciting marine creatures surround you – including two amazing sea turtles.

A favourite feature with many visitors is the Centre’s Seahorse Breeding & Conservation Centre…home to a variety of these exotic and colourful creatures, from native spiny seahorses to Australian big-bellies.

SEA LIFE London Aquarium + FREE Photobook

SEA LIFE London Aquarium + FREE Photobook

The SEA LIFE London Aquarium is home to one of Europe’s largest collections of global marine life and the jewel in the crown of the 28 SEA LIFE attractions in the UK and Europe. Situated in the heart of London, the experience takes visitors on an immersive and interactive journey along the Great Oceanic Conveyor.

The mysterious experience, spread over three floors, starts by taking a submarine style lift to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Along the journey, a stunning glass tunnel walkway offers guests an unforgettable experience by strolling underneath a Tropical Ocean. There is plenty of interaction along the way, from feeding the stingrays and watching diving displays to touch pools and discovery zones. Other stars of the show include green turtles, seahorses, octopus, zebra sharks and the ever popular clown fish. The true highlight however, commences as guests complete their journey in the deeper darker zone of the Pacific Ocean – take a walk on the wild side and watch 10 species of shark swim beneath your feet from a suspended glass platform.

As well as allowing millions of people to discover the marvels of the marine world, the SEA LIFE network has an important role to play in helping safeguard our seas and their inhabitants for the future. The SEA LIFE London Aquarium provides the UK with a leading centre of excellence on marine management, conservation, preservation and education in the heart of the capital.

Penguin Point – an expanded state-of-the-art viewing and learning experience complete with a colony of Gentoo penguins.

The new Antarctic-themed experience will give visitors a fascinating insight into the habitat and behaviour of penguins. It aims to explain how we can all play our part in conserving their environment whilst providing the opportunity for close range viewing of a delightful colony of resident Gentoo penguins.

Ten Gentoo penguins will be resident in the bespoke new enclosure which has been carefully designed to reflect the needs of the species. The significantly enlarged area features two pools, a waterfall, underwater jets, rocks and landing areas and ice flakes.

Crocodiles to take up residence in SEA LIFE London Aquarium!

Crocodiles, Piranhas, a family of Poison Arrow Frogs and a host of exotic aquatic creatures will be taking up residence in an entirely new Rainforests of the World area at the SEA LIFE London Aquarium this Easter. Rainforests of the World will totally replace the existing rainforest area and provide a snapshot into the vulnerable eco-systems of Malaysia, West Africa and South America. In an immersive journey across three continents guests will get up close and personal with some of the rainforests’ most famous and feared residents. A pair of 6 ft West African Dwarf Crocodiles will be just snapping distance away in a specially created wetland habitat mirroring their African home. The family of highly toxic Poison Arrow Frogs will provide a kaleidoscope of colour, but watch out for the alluring yellow Golden Dart Frog, the most lethal of them all. Continuing the small but deadly theme is one of Europe’s biggest collections of Piranha fish famed for their flesh eating frenzies.
