This weekend we set off on our very first narrowboat adventure as a family, but not just the 5 of us, as a multi generational family with aunty, uncle, cousins and Grandma and Grandad too! Narrowboat Holiday Company, Anglo Welsh, who have been providing this type of holiday for the past 50 years, very kindly invited us to borrow one of their boats. Anglo Welsh operate in 11 different locations across the UK and have 160 boats to choose from. In 2016 they launched a new class of boat – the Constellation Class with 4-12 berth boats available. With 12 of us in total we opted for a 12 berth narrow boat from the Constellation Class, called ‘Andromeda’. The layout from back (where the engine is) to front consists of: kitchen area, first lounge area/double bed, second lounge area/double bed, bathroom, first bedroom with bunk beds and single, second bedroom with bunk beds and single, bathroom, third bedroom with two single beds.
