Let’s start by clearing the bold statement in the description. I have not been to Iran myself but I have an Iranian colleague who introduced me to this place and who said there aren’t many places where she will eat Persian food in London as it is rarely authentic but Naroon is one of the exceptions! Not only that but every time we go there she is chatting away with the owner and the staff in Farsi which for me is a testament that the place is indeed authentic!

Naroon is a small and cosy cafe and restaurant tucked away in the lovely Fitzrovia area. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. I’ve only been there for lunch which seems to be a very popular time with all the office workers around but they also do brunch and dinner on certain days.

Everything I’ve tried is delicious and plentiful. I love the bread, the dips and the grills served with choices of salad and rice. As someone who is not a massive fan of rice, I can guarantee that their saffron rice is to die for!
