Cotswolds Exclusive Heli Dining

Combine top-class cuisine and a spin in a chopper on this Cotswold heli dining experience! This very special charter will see the two of you take off in a helicopter and head off to a quiet and secluded country house hotel somewhere gorgeous in the Cotswolds where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before flying back.

The helicopter base is Cotswold Airport near Kemble. This is a bustling little CAA licensed aerodrome that is steeped in history (see if you can spot the Red Arrow Gnat in homage to the top notch Red Arrows display team that was based here for many years) and offering a warm welcome with full on-site facilities. If you’re into your aviation setting off from here is an extra bonus as there’s usually quite a lot to see and of course you get a great bird’s eye view of it all from your helicopter.

Sitting up front will be your highly experienced chopper pilot leaving you two to climb into the rear seats to cosy up side by side ready for what will be quite possibly the most romantic journey you’ll ever have to a restaurant. Not only are you the only passengers in this heli but you have the delight of flying over the lovely Cotswolds as you take a southerly heading to your chosen lunch destination.

And as you’d expect on such a special day lunch is very much about impeccable service and fine dining with Michelin-starred chefs sumptuous decor and seasonal menus that will make your mouth water. For these charters you have the choice of three different eateries for lunch all of which are in luxury hotels.

Calcot Manor just west of Tetbury is a gorgeous 14th century country retreat sitting in 220 acres of meadowlands that was built in that classic Cotswold stone. The Conservatory restaurant is superbly furnished and feels very contemporary and light with a mouthwatering menu that oozes the same vibes.

Lucknam Park Estate is a secluded hotel and spa and neighbouring equestrian centre that all resonates with unspoilt country house charm. The restaurant is Michelin-starred and being part of the Relais & Chateaux group you are assured of top-notch service and superb food.

Whatley is a19th century Grade II listed private home that was transformed into a country house hotel in 1987. With all the luxury you need this hotel still retains a welcoming homely feel. It’s all quite grand in the Dining Room and Le Mazot Brasserie with the brigade working under two-Michelin starred chef Martin Burge.

Just imagine landing in those finely manicured grounds in a fancy helicopter – it will certainly turn heads as you enjoy your VIP Cotswold heli dining journey to the luxury hotel restaurant of your choice then sitting down to your table for two for a lavish lunch. A simply superb dining experience.
