Spa and tea lovers can choose a package that gives you one 25 minute treatment or you can really indulge yourself with a 55 minute treatment.
What’s great about these spa days with afternoon tea is that you can make the most of everything the Crowne Plaza has to offer all day and not just in the afternoon. If you fancy getting a bit of fresh air there are nice grounds to wander around with a lake and fountain. There are also footpaths leading from the hotel to the River Thames a lovely place for a bit of a walk whilst you contemplate your next move.
And your next move could well be straight into the very inviting mosaic-tiled indoor swimming pool. The sauna steam room jacuzzi and even an outdoor hot tub are all close by too so you can really connect with your inner water baby for a couple of hours. If you want to work the weights or have a bit of a cardiovascular workout there’s a gym with Life Fitness machines too.
Your next work out will be in the Crowne Plaza hotel cafe and bar lifting those china cups filled to the brim with piping hot freshly brewed tea or coffee. Then there’s the platter of finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings on mixed breads. And of course they’re joined by a selection of yummy cakes tarts and scones. You can take your classic tea out on the terrace if it’s sunny or you gaze out of the floor to ceiling windows in the conservatory.
The Crowne Plaza serves afternoon tea from 2pm to 5pm daily and it’s totally up to you how you plan your time at the hotel. You could round off your spa day with High Tea late afternoon or delve into your treats earlier and head back into the spa afterwards. However you work it it’s going to be a delightfully relaxing day with treats all the way!
