Outdoor Activity Glamping Break Stirlingshire

Glamping in Stirlingshire – with activities included! These two-night glamping breaks for two people give you all the peace and tranquility of the Scottish countryside with the fun of several outdoor activities to try too.

This glamping site is on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Near Gartmore village and just west of Stirling it’s a great place for a mid-week or weekend break. And there’s no getting bored whilst you go off grid with all the activities included.

All glampers will be able to join in paddle sports climbing and target sports sessions held on site. That means you can try everything from chucking axes into hunks of wood and firing air pistols to abseiling down the purpose-built climbing tower or giving the climbing tree a go. What’s more there’s the lake which is perfect for some gentle paddle sports such as canoeing kayaking and stand up paddleboarding.

You’ll be staying in a pre-erected tent near the lake on these glamping stays in Stirlingshire. The pitch gives you your own little patio area complete with BBQ and campfire corner. Nothing beats sitting outside watching the sun go down!

Inside you’ll find the most important thing (and the one thing that is lacking when you go traditional camping) – a comfy bed. There’ll be proper twin or double bed bases with proper mattresses making sure you’ll get a good night’s sleep ready for all those activities during the day.

The linen is all included for the beds as is a load of useful stuff like a table and chairs a 24l cooler box a pot pan and kettle LED lighting and storm lanterns. There’s a wood burner to keep you cosy at night with your first lot of wood included too. All you need to bring is your PJs outdoor clothes towels and toiletries.

Whilst there’s no restaurant on site you’ll be provided with a generous breakfast hamper full of delicious goodies. And you’re only a couple of miles from Gartmore village with its community run pub whilst Aberfoyle with many eateries is just a short drive away. Both are connected to the glamping site by Stirlingshire’s Sustrans Cycle Route 7.

The Bothy is open 24/7 for toilet and shower facilities and the reception building (complete with a TV and DVD player for those who can’t totally disconnect) is open 8am-8pm every day and is the hub of the centre. So go on ditch the gadgets and enjoy activities and glamping in Stirlingshire. You even get a little barrow to take your stuff to the tent. How cool is that?!
