Single Seater Track Drive

Sign up for a single seater driving experience and you can test drive a genuine Formula Renault car! These sessions out on the track are the real deal as you ride solo in your open wheeler around a circuit. Pull that full face helmet on and become that young buck Formula 1 racing driver you’ve always dreamt of being…

Indeed Formula Renault has launched the careers of many a professional racing driver. The fleet of single seaters used on these experiences are from the halcyon days of Formula Renault when Italian motorsports company Tatuus was making the chassis and over 1000 of them were sold. The car was the standard from 2000-2009 for this racing series that is renowned and revered around Europe and beyond.

The single seaters you’ll be driving in are in tip-top racing condition and are constructed with a racing Tatuus chassis the Renault 2.0l 16v Alpine Race engine six speed sequential gear box and more than a hint of F1 styling.

As you’ll be driving on your own in these cars all experiences start with a paced lap which means one of the pro drivers will be leading the pack around the track. The idea here is not to test you but to give you a chance to familiarise yourself with the circuit and follow the leader as they carve the perfect racing line around it helping your develop your race craft skills as you go.

Once they’ve peeled off into the pit lane you’ll be let loose in your single seater – just you and a whole load of acceleration under your foot. You’ll hear the roar of the engine and feel the impressive speed of this motor racing car as you streak off along the straights. And of course stopping speed is just as important in a machine like this so when you brake into the corners you’ll be amazed by the deceleration capabilities as well.

Tough and rigid yet lightweight and agile these Formula Renaults are great to drive. Time to get your driving gloves on and go for it!
