Skydiving Perth

Skydiving Perth – jump out of a plane at Scotland’s finest drop zone! Our Scottish skydiving school offers both tandem and static line experiences both of which involve exiting a plane high in the sky over the impressive Perthshire countryside below you. Which extreme sport version will you choose?

A tandem skydive here in Scotland gives you all the thrills without the laborious training. You’ll be in an adjustable harness and then locked to your instructor ready for your jump from 10 000ft. And those who want to be more autonomous will love the static line course which over two days covers all you need to know to be able to make that exit from 3500ft by yourself with automatic parachute opening. Whichever you dive in for it’s going to be exhilarating at this drop zone in Scotland!

Errol Airfield equidistant from Dundee and Perth enjoys a prime location in Scotland making it one of the prettiest drop zones you can imagine perched on the banks of the Firth of Tay. And believe us once you’re looking at the view from above it just gets even prettier. Once home to RAF Errol this airfield still uses one of the original trio of tarmac runways for the skydiving operation.

And as you’d expect the skydive crew here in Perth is highly experienced. We tried to add up how many jumps each team member has done but we lost count. Needless to say it’s well into the thousands. The instructors here even form a display team so when they’re not teaching you how to skydive they are putting on skydiving shows all over Scotland to the delight of the crowds.

Facilities at Perth’s Errol Airfield are totally geared towards turning nervous newbies into confident and safe parachutists. There are class rooms (including an area with a replica plane door set up so you can practice your exit before you do it for real!) video rooms and packing rooms (where the parachute are meticulously checked re-checked and packed up ready) as well as the canteen a bunk house (ideal for low-cost overnight accommodation for those on the two-day static line course) and a lovely picnic and BBQ area too.

We have to say going skydiving at Perth’s premier drop zone is the perfect choice for anyone in Scotland wanting to give this high-adrenaline high-altitude extreme sport a go. Easy to get great teaching and good on site facilities makes Errol Airfield on the banks of the Tay our top Scottish choice for a thrilling skydive.
