Wildcard Brewery London

Have a pint or two with the friendly team at the Wild Card brewery and tour the facilities too! This is a superb microbrewery in the heart of Walthamstow that has very much become part of the local community so it’s time to pay them a visit and see what it’s all about.

Jaega William and Andrew make a great team here at Wild Card. By their own admission they kind of fell into the brewing game by accident after what started as a hobby became their business. This rather refreshing approach totally reflects the whole character of this microbrewery. It’s just a really nice place to go and see. They’ll welcome you with open arms and show you all parts of the brewing process.

Head brewer Jaega has a chemical engineering degree so she is more than qualified to be able to work that magic with the mix of malts and hops. Wild Card currently produces four signature beers which you may see in different stages of production on your tour.

Indeed it has to be said Wild Card has an excellent reputation amongst beer fans and brewery aficionados for producing consistently good no-nonsense uncompromising beers. During your tour you’ll be shown how the chemist creates her favourite ales with the six brewers barrel kit they use. You’ll also be introduced to the likes of King of Hearts and the Ace of Spades beers they brew.

We have to say it is a lovely set up here at Wild Card. With the rich ruby red Jack of Clubs and the continuously hopped Queen of Diamonds IPA it’s little wonder these beers have a loyal following. On weekends the brewery opens up it’s Tap Bar in the courtyard with an eclectic mix of street food vendors invited for ‘residencies’ so you can eat drink and be merry.

When you go on a Wild Card brewery tour there’s always plenty of time to chat beer sample the ales and generally have a sociable informal and informative time at this fantastic young and vibrant brewery in Walthamstow. We say a hearty cheers to that!
