Things to do today in London: Sunday November 3 2019

Sunday’s supposedly the day of rest, but sod that – get out there and enjoy five fantastic things to do around the capital. Catch the tail end of Deptford X arts festival, see the London night sky lit up at the Victoria Park Fireworks and have a dead good time at the Day of the Dead Festival.

1. Deptford X

Mark the final day of this free, sprawling arts festival. Go all out on the last day by joining in with the carnivalesque Parade of Friendly Monsters, which is open to all.

2. Victoria Park Fireworks

Prepare for a night of proper bangers. The People’s Park is putting on its annual Bonfire Night shindig. This year’s theme revolves around the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, so you can expect it to be out of this world.

See Camden Market get a proper Día de los Muertos makeover with shrines designed by Mexican artists thanks to the Mexican Embassy. Expect a floating market, children’s crafts and a roaming mariachi band.

4. A Darker Time Escape Room

Do you think you have what it takes to be the next hotshot detective? Budding investigators will work against the clock to seek and solve clues, interview witnesses and gather evidence in this all-immersive experience.
