Aux pains de papy – Best croissants in London

If you’ve read some of my articles here you probably had realised by now that there are a few things I am slightly obsessed with – wine, bread, good pastries and coffee. I have spent a good amount of time tracking down the best croissants in London and by far Aux pain de papy is on the top of my list.

Aux pain de papy is a small bakery not far from the busy King’s Cross station, quite unassuming from the outside but don’t let this mislead you, it’s a real hidden gem! Everything is handmade and made fresh from the best ingredients available with many of them sourced directly from France. They have an array of all the classic pastries you’d expect from a French bakery – the flaky and buttery plain croissant, pain au chocolat, and my favourite croissant aux amandes. On the savoury side, they don’t disappoint either – they offer some of the best baguettes I’ve tried outside of France which are a great option for a quick lunch if you’re nearby.

If you’re not planning on hopping on the Eurostar to get your French patisserie fix across the channel your best bet certainly is popping in and grabbing a few of the goodies from Aux pain de papy, you won’t be disappointed I promise you.
