If you’re a fan of both cats and coffee, then Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium may just be the place for you. Snug in the quirky London district of Shoreditch, it is the first of the UK’s selection of cat cafes across the country.
On arrival, you will be ushered in to go through a couple of ground rules on how to treat the cats and to wash your hands. And then, welcome to cat haven!
I was initially surprised by how calm and quiet it felt inside the café. The cats are all spread about the two-storey building, lounging across the floor, or tucked neatly away into comfortable baskets. The standard entry price includes a hot beverage, so an assistant will come over to take your order. They will also give you some background information on the cats and if you require it, some tips on how to woo each moggy!
Grab a fur brush or a toy mouse and pamper those kitties!
