It’s snow joke: a pop-up winter forest is landing in the City next month

The temperature’s finally dropped, the days are getting shorter and you’ve had to dig out your big coat from the back of the wardrobe. In other words: winter is coming.

And what does winter in London mean? A host of cute ’n’ cosy festive activities to warm the cockles of your chilly heart, of course!

One of the first to land this year comes in the form of Broadgate Circle’s Winter Forest.

Bedding down from November 6 to December 20 just opposite Liverpool Street station, the huge pedestrianised space will be turned into a snowy pine tree paradise, with food from the likes of Italian trattoria Nyoke and Portuguese favourites Bar Douro.

The Everyman Cinema will be providing a special programme of screenings (including ‘Frozen’, duh), while there’ll also be a host of events taking place under the forest’s twinkling lights throughout the season.

So yes, the summer heat might have waved its final goodbye for 2019. But with winter looking this sparkly, we’ll be just fine.

Keep an eye on all the city’s festive fun at Time Out’s Christmas 2019 hub.
