Become a Football Manager

This be a Football Manager Experience isn’t just a day but a full week. The first thing to decide is who will you manage? Will it be your boyhood club or will you go for prestige and glory and take over Man Utd? Once your decision is made your first day begins at 9am sharp as you meet the squad and backroom staff at the clubs training ground.
Y ou’ll take training that morning organising drills and tactics with the help of the backroom staff. You can have as much or as little guidance as you like so if you’ve been playing football manager on your laptop for some time now and have your own ideas to bring to the table – then away you go!

After the first session has finished you will have to sit down with your Assistant Manager – who by the way you get to choose so it could be someone with heaps of experience in the game or your best mate. The purpose of this meeting is to arrange the friendly game that you will take the helm for. No team is off limits. If you want to give the players a real run out and generate some income for the club you could play Real Madrid. If however you’d rather become a local legend for the rest of your life you invite the local pub team to the stadium for a day they’ll never forget.

Once the friendly is in the diary the rest of the week is filled with training and preparation. After having seen your chosen team on the training pitch for a few days you should have an idea of who your starting 11 will be.

On the Thursday you will be called into your pre-match press conference where you will be grilled by local as well a national (depending on the club you choose) journalists on areas such as the shape of the squad your inexperience in management and how you plan to set up for the game.
